The Jezebel Absinthe

Crafted in small batches from predominantly locally grown ingredients, The Jezebel is the leading release from Ashley Doney’s ‘Head Heart & Tales Distilling Co’. The first Australian ‘Blanche’ Style absinthe, it draws on the traditional Blanche style, a clear spirit historically associated with the traditional 19th century absinthe of France and Switzerland. Double-distilled in Melbourne using a propriety botanical bill weighted heavily towards absinthe’s herbal holy trinity – fennel, wormwood and aniseed – The Jezebel is as pure and balanced as it is compelling—an exciting new entry to Australia’s growing corps of craft spirits. It drinks beautifully when prepared in the traditional absinthe method, as a long drink with bitter lemon, and to bring local flavour to a New Orleans Sazerac, or the wonderfully named, Corpse Reviver No. 2.
