Planted chiefly between 1946 and 1970, Olivier Lamy has interplanted this plot in Les Tremblots with mass-selection vines, bringing the density up to 22,000 vines per hectare. Although Olivier admits he has created a rod for his own back—his high-density parcels require more than twice the work of his regular parcels—he is obviously thrilled by the class of wine he is achieving. The ripeness, acidity and mineral intensity are a joy to behold; it will provide a breathtaking experience with age.

Reviews

“A more airy nose but of panoramic width. Intense, vibrant, chiselled wine. This finishing intensity is just so wide!! It then fades quicker before sustaining a very long, more subtle level. Ouch that’s so good!!”
Bill Nanson, Burgundy Report
“Lamy produced only 350 liters of the 2022 Puligny-Montrachet Les Tremblots Haute Densité, a striking wine that unfurls in the glass with notes of white peach, apple blossom, freshly baked bread and hazelnuts. Medium to full-bodied, pure and racy, with an ample core of fruit, terrific cut and a penetrating finish, it's quite approachable out of the gates by the standards of this habitually reserved cuvée.”
